How do I order a costume?
Contact me for a copy of my contract and pricing sheet. I accept orders starting in the summer months and finish when all my spots are full. After you return your contract you will receive a confirmation email from me stating that I have accepted your contract and can accommodate your request. You will have one week to forward your costume deposit via email transfer or snail mail. Your spot will be held for a certain period while we finalize all the details of your costume but I will not hold a spot if you have no details prior to submitting your contract.
How far in advance should I order my costume?
As soon as possible is ideal but generally I need 8-12 weeks to fully complete a costume. This is after we’ve selected fabrics, trims, style and taken measurements. This may be longer if I need to special order any fabrics or trims and during the months of November through March as this is peak costume season.
Can you make me a costume like the one I saw on the internet?
The short answer is no. I will not directly copy another designer’s costume or catalogue costume; every dancer deserves to have their own special costume. You can send me ideas that you have found online and I encourage you to share what you like about the costumes and what you do not so I can get a good idea of what your special costume will look like.
How much of a deposit do you need?
The deposit is 50% of your costume budget and the balance is due before you take delivery of your costume.
Why is the costume so expensive?
You are getting an original, custom made costume designed to fit your body and personal preference. I do not use a standard size chart of child small, adult medium etc because no dancer fits a size chart perfectly. All my costumes are made to YOUR size and each pattern is drafted accordingly. My pricing reflects the hours spent drafting, designing and creating your custom costume.
Do you sell your costumes online?
Unfortunately, I do not. I prefer to work one on one with my customers to ensure that you get a perfect and custom fit. I take great pride and care in every costume that I make; my attention to detail is evident in my work.
